Amy Yee Seattle Tennis Center chooses JSO Macroair for HVLS fans

Amy Yee Seattle Tennis Center

Announcement: The Amy Yee Seattle Tennis Center will be undergoing a roof insulation and recover on its building. WRI (Wayne's Roofing Inc) was selected the general contractor to complete this large project, which is scheduled to start in early fall and completion by the end of the year.

Part of the project involved the installation of four 24' HVLS fan destratification fans. JSO Macroair will be providing and installing the fans as part of this project.

Why is the Seattle Tennis Center looking at HVLS fans instead of updating their HVAC system?

1. The Power of HVLS Fans

Imagine a tennis center, indoor pool, climbing gym, gymnastics academy or fitness gym where the air feels refreshingly cool, even during the most intense workouts. HVLS fans can make this a reality. These remarkable fans are designed to generate tremendous airflow and circulation throughout your gym. Unlike standard residential ceiling fans that spin rapidly, HVLS fans spin at a lower rate, but their colossal size allows them to move a high volume of air effectively. This helps destratify the air in your facility, preventing hot air from accumulating near the ceiling.

2. Significant Cooling Effect

One of the most impressive features of HVLS fans is their ability to create a perceived cooling effect of up to TEN DEGREES. This means that your gym or recreation facility will feel substantially cooler for both visitors and employees. No more unbearable heat during those rigorous workout sessions. HVLS fans are designed to make your gym a more comfortable place to exercise.

3. Moisture Management

Moisture can be a significant issue in gyms, leading to discomfort and potential damage to equipment. HVLS fans come to the rescue by increasing the evaporation rate. As they move large volumes of air, they help to reduce the moisture content in the environment. This not only enhances comfort but also preserves the condition of your gym equipment.

4. Commercial Ceiling Fans for Confined Spaces

While HVLS fans are ideal for larger gym spaces, commercial ceiling fans are a fantastic option for more confined gyms or fitness facilities. These fans offer superior airflow and durability compared to standard home ceiling fans. They are built to withstand the demands of a commercial environment while maintaining a sleek, modern aesthetic that complements the gym's overall design. Additionally, commercial ceiling fans are perfect for spaces where ceiling height may be limited, as they are designed to fit in tighter spaces without compromising on performance.

5. Lower cost than an entire HVAC system

The price of HVLS fans can be significantly lower than upgrading an entire HVAC system. With blade sizes from 8-24 feet and pricing ranging from $4,300 to $8,000 (not including installation), the cost of HVLS fans are only a fraction of an HVAC system.

In conclusion, when it comes to creating a comfortable and inviting gym environment, HVLS fans and commercial ceiling fans are your go-to solutions. HVLS fans bring superior airflow and cooling effects to larger spaces, while commercial ceiling fans offer durability and performance in more confined areas. By investing in these fans, you'll not only enhance the experience for gym members and employees but also ensure that your gym or commercial industrial building or warehouse remains a top-notch fitness destination.
